Samurai spring over and roll cage
« on: October 11, 2010, 09:13:52 PM »
I got this samurai bone stock did my first spring over lift on it and then built a roll cage. It now has a 5.1 t-case in it with an e-z locker in the rear.

here are some pictures of one sitting in the car
The c pillar or rear bar is mounted to the wheel wells. Which is fairly thin metal for the mounting locations for both the b and c hoops. The rear floor of the sammy is actually thicker and layered, which is way thicker and stronger than the wheel wells. This where Trail Tough and Daves Sport cages mount their rear cages to.

it is plated on bothe sides the top mount has an 1/8 plate and in the fenderwell has an 1/8" plate. Same way petroworks mounts their cages, and i know some people who have used the petroworks cage and they held up very well.

Your cage setup is 3 times better than a petroworks cage will ever be.  As fas as Petroworks cages holding up to roll overs, have you seen the video footage of the sammy rolling with one of their cages?
