here is the plan for the rear...as stated above im having issues getting the rear the same as the front...instead of cutting off the mounts and rewelding them lower,...was thinking of using the front spring mount with a piece of 2x4 tube as a spacer to achieve the 4 1/2 difference in height...also this would give me more to help capture the coil springs over stock....

whatcha think??

It's looking good, I'd like to see the rest of it.  Nice idea using the front spring cups and a spacer for the rear.  Cheap is good, free is better  ;)
If you eventually plan on doing a Samurai case and 2wd trans, then would you swap the rear axle too to match the offset of the Samurai case?

I say stick with the suspension lift, but you should probably check out what your driveline angles are going to be like in the rear before you make a decision.   Great looking work though!

built the top link spacer last night, but i didnt like it "stepped or staggard",..so ill be moving the rear bottom links a tad lower and longer to center the wheel in the wheelwell,..after i do that ill be able to cut and extend the top link as well and not have to stagger the spacer,...by the way,...spacer is about 5" tall,...and made from super strong reciever stock...its going to have to due untill i can afford to do a complete link system in the rear

Are you going to add a brace that bolts back to the top of your axle for extra strength?

i was looking at a easy way to weld a few tabs to the top of the diff and to the back of the spacer,..then just bolt on the "stabilizer" to the top of the diff...i dont like the spacer at all but im sure that will help ease my concerns

well dug around in the shed and found a complete set of billstiens,...not sure what they came off of but he end piece looks like jeep,..fully extended they are 24" long...
so me being a cheap bastard,..i cut the ends off the stockers and modified these billstiens with the stock ends...now i dont have to go but rear shocks!!!
