project polished turd

ive been wanting to do a build thread on here for a while but never had the time to do it so i figured id make some time and from there it went to the garage and i started.

a little background on my ride first its a 98 sidekick 4 door with a 1.5 coil and strut spacer, 84 honda accord springs in the rear with land cruiser rear shocks.

i ran it like this for about 6 months and loved it but as i started getting more into it and going through bigger tank traps and deeper ruts i got tired of scraping all the time and i didnt want to spend the thousand pluss on a ifs lift so i decided to do a sas. first i looked into yotas and didnt want to spend all the money. next i  thought about going to a set of wagonner axles that were very built with detroit lockers front and rear that i had been told about and they had been under a tracker once already. but then i got lazy and didnt feel like changing the rear. so finally decided to go with a sami axle that was given to me. i had seen lots of people do it with leaf springs but never with coils. so i decided to try out a 4 link and coils just because i like the articulation and i the back was already coils.

so i started working on it last night and got the controll arms taken off and then tonight i got the ifs cross member cut off and the bump stops i can only work on it every so often so i dont know when the next time il be able to add to my progress is but ill try to keep it updated

here are some pics of it so you can see what i had and what i have now

some updates i got some new seals for the axles that needed replaced after i put in my third from a parts car. since mine was a 98 it had a 26 spline 3rd member and i didnt want to spend the money on new axles so i pulled a 22 spline 3rd out of a parts car.  here is a little mock up to
