spent some time at the wrecking yard today. I got a 2 door brake booster and master to help with clearances around the intake manifold and also cleaned up some under hood real estate, made it look alot cleaner and better IMO.

scored the one manual hub I have been looking for and a cup holder console to-boot, along with the booster was only 25 bucks  ;D

well the kick is finally going together, slow but sure. im now running the turbo lines and trivial items.

Looking awesome. I like that you were able to use my cal mini rears. Your 3 rd upper will be there tomorrow!  You are a up standing person to deal with! A true man of his word. Thank you for covering the difference in shipping! If their is anything I can do for you in the future let me know.

thanks. :-[

also completely redoing the intercooler piping and radiator, the radiator is for a early 90's supercharged Thunderbird that my friend drew discovered would work perfect. its real metal too!

also played a bit of dress up with the motor just to give me the feel I'm getting some where!

I will remember that radiator, if my stock one isn't enough.
It's a good feeling when things start fitting, isn't it?  I enjoy watching your progress.  Thanks for the entertainment.

I remember doing that with my wiring.  The final fix was redoing all the wiring, and finding a ground that I know was not done before.  ***  Rerouting does take time, and patience.
You sure have a lot more room than mine.  Of course that exhaust and air supply will eat up a lot of it.  How close to hearing a sound out of it are you?

well its last day of my vacation and I didn't get near as much done as hoped (par for the coarse tho).I did get the coolant pipe outlet clocked. (it was going straight in to the throttle body) as I mixed and matched parts from other audi 1.8t's.
I also got I/C piping closer to perfected but waiting on proper elbows to show up.
I also added a oil catch can.

In one pic you can see my ammo can trail dinner (burritos an such) oven! ;D

Just my opinion, but I think that motor looks better without the top cover.

Up close it's god-awful ugly and I want something covering the coil packs too. There's some aftermarket covers I might try too

Hell, I dont even know what it looks like after 8 years!  It's supposed to be supercharged though and I'd like to take a look but she wont let me! I guess she knows what happens when I got ahold of even simple tools

Must be wiring, when you are working on that, there is nothing to show or tell until it done.  But if he doesn't report soon, I'll stop checking.

Didn't peg you for one of us "older" types. Yeah, the daily aches and pains of accumulated injuries continue to take their toll on all us "old guys." Be kind to your neck and give it time to heal, well heal as much as possible for an old fart !

finally a chance to do a bit and post!

I made a adapter for the thunderbird radiator out of 1" square tubing, just welded in some 1/2" round tube to fit the suzuki dementions and drilled the to to fit the thunderbird mounts.

then went to the intercooler and got it totally plumbed in. also got the radiator mounted. (I was able to hide the upper rubber mounts)

I've been waiting on my fuel rail so I tackled a couple tasks. first I built a oil drain line, then finally got some fluids going in it! ;D in the way of royal purple 5w-20w and a fresh filter to fire it up with.
then on to the power steering res. I used a newer one from a 2.0L tracker and mounted it where the old ABS module was. now all the fluid reservoir's are together. then some more fluid!!! feels like I'm getting somewhere  ;D
