94 Sidekick - Project 'get rid of old parts'
« on: January 19, 2012, 10:37:36 PM »
Back yet again, still have my 96 2 door Tracker that I'm building up... been having issues sourcing another good D16z6 Honda crank tho, bunch of flaky ass Honda owners.

ANYHOW, I picked up a 94 16v 4 door Sidekick JX for $1,000. Runs, drives, etc. Inspection is out, needs a new exhaust, 2 body mounts replaced, and shocks/struts. Also, after ~50 miles of driving it threw a CEL (code 51 I think it was) for the EGR system. I already tore the intake manifold off to get into all the ports in the underside of the runners and ALL were clogged, EGR was nearly clogged fully as well on one side.

Plans (getting rid of old parts from Tracker and selling the Sidekick to fund the Tracker build further).

2" 'HD' Body lift from Low Range
30x9.5" BFG A/T tires from my Tracker
15x7" Cragar V-5 wheels from my Tracker
Retint rear windows to 20% (currently 5%)
Tint front door windows to 30% (possibly lighter)
Recover headliner
Patch a few holes in the floor
New shocks/struts (Monroe)
Paint
Inspection

Should have about $2,000 into it (with purchase) when ready to sell, and already jokinly listed it on Craigslist and got a few offers when it was listed for $3,500.

Wheels and 2" body lift on. Pinstriped the wheels (driver side only so far LOL)

Decided to throw my custom bumper and old 5k Warn winch on to get rid of them also along with the grill from my Tracker. Probably going to paint the shackles and fairlead red also.

Just bought a 94Sidekick for 600.00 ran great Almost got it all chopped up. All I wanted was the wiring and 16valve. Power steering also.  I hated to distroy it, but, I needed a project. I have a few parts left if any one wants them. Weare very remote in upperMichigan.

I'll get some measurements for you.
