Routed my rear brake lines today, i used a 20" line for the right side and a 40" for the left side.  Worked out pretty good, thought i was going to be short on the long side but it came out just fine.  The short side line is a bit long so its got a couple funky bends in it, I'm probably going to go back and alter that one some.

Some what finished product, just have to weld shock tabs on...

Have some more stuff tomorrow.

Called up Lowrangeoffroad today and ordered up some more goodies to get my Samarat road worthy!  Got my self 4 12" Blistein 5125's, a venturi tube (Whats another 11 bucks ???), New timing cover, and 2 front Break lines.  Once all that good stuff gets here then i will have some nice wheelin pics and some fine tuning to do.

Oh yeah came up with a good name for my rig....Samarat...seems like it fits it.

Been working on the rat the past couple of days, been working out body mounts.  It has been coming along pretty slow.  While fitting the Toyota steering box i had to chop out the whole left side of my front clip...there fore i lost my body mount.  I'm going to finish it up today and snap some pics...ill post em up latter this evening.

All the goodies i ordered from lowrange are supposed to be here today....but my shocks did show up crazy fast and were here yesterday.  Im pretty stoked on that, something to keep my busy for a while.

Thank you Lowrange for getting my order processed so dam fast!

Finished up my front body mounts yesterday.  I wasn't sure if it was going to work out in the beginning, once i started getting everything all tacked in i was feeling a lot more confident about it.  All in all it came out pretty good, just needs a little paint to freshin it up.

Here's the cross bar i used to tie the body mounts into, along with the splash guard.  It may not look to pretty right now. (I think it might be my primer color that throws it off :P)

Passenger body mount, in and welded.

Drivers side mount.

Gotta go put some shocks on and mount a P/S reservoir.

Got my rig back up on jack stands today.  I had the front all pulled out and painted the bare metal on the front part of the frame.  Hooked up all the brake lines and shocks, slapped the front end back in.  Went to build and upper shock bar and some shock tabs for the rear, and then realized that my rear shocks were a wee bit to long (12" is to much, had to go with 10").  So i called up Lowrangeoffroad and got some 10" shocks arranged.

After a semi good day of working on my rig i have this left to do:

Have a high pressure power steering hose made.
Install a power steering cooler.
Hook up oil pressure line.
Make shock bar and tabs for rear/install rear shocks.
Heat & bend pitman arm
Hook up diff breathers.
Add fluids to front & rear diffs
Make front Drive line
Cut out old tranny X-member
Fix Spidertrax E-brake
Re-do exhaust

Just fun little stuff that has to be done.
And i think that's pretty much the list for now, unless something else comes up.

Here's how its standing as of now.

I should be able to get it drivable under its own power with in the next 2 days.

I can't wait.  I have been following your build, as you seem to be doing an exceptionally good job.  I look forward to your impressions as you start to wheel it, and the following modifications.  Very inspiring work.
93 Tracker,XL7 springs & 1" raised spring pads in front with YJ springs in back, home built bumpers rear & front (w/winch), 2" x 4" rock tubes,  ARB front & rear, converted Sami rear to IFS, 33x12.5x15  aluminum rims, roll cage, 2.7L w/5 speed auto.

Thank you for the complements!
Its good to see another post on here, i see the views going up but no posts.

I cant wait to take this thing out on the trail, i haven't driven it in about 7 to 8 months so it should be nice change from my daily drive (94 S-10).  I will defiantly be letting you guys know how everything is working out.  There will be plenty more building and fabrication that will be done to this rig, and i dong think it will ever truly be finished.

Thanks again

yeah Dude,

Following your posts is better than watching Powerblock! Keep 'em coming and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I can't wait to see the finished product in your kickass build!

Cheers from Canada!

Im not so sure about powerblock...
Thanks for the comment

Got my rig going and took it for a test drive today...Minus the exhaust (nothing but collector) and the rear shocks.  It drove pretty good, very slow and underpowered but i did expect that.  The low range is kick ass, i would defiantly like to get it lower but this will do just fine for now.  No vibrations from the rear drive shaft, the tires weren't square from sitting so long.  Got the breaks working pretty good, they have pretty good pedal feel, but they do need some adjustment.
From where it was a couple days ago everything has gone together pretty smooth.  I did have some trouble with NAPA and my high pressure steering line.  80 bucks later, and a few more trips to the parts store and the steering was done.

Got a cooler for my steering, made up a little bracket and hooked it up.
(Zip ties are temporary)

A glob of steering hoses.

Ill have some more pics tomorrow.

Haven't really been working on my rig too much, mostly just been driving it around breaking it all in.  So far so good, everything is working awesome!  The Aussie locker is working sweet, you can barley even tell its there other than small noises. It hooks up when you need it and clicks when you dont need it.  It never pops and hops or jolts you, so far im very happy with it.  The gearing is alright for town cruzing but it wont hold 5th gear to well and you have to do quite a few shifts to get her up to speed.  Now im on the prowl for a 1.6 to get some much needed power, this 1.3 aint going to play ;D

SNJSamurai - Ya that's my oil pressure line, it was a plastic line that came with my gauge.  I burnt that line in half with a cutting torch so i since then put a copper line in.

Heres how the rig is sitting as of now, im very happy with the ride and how it handles....i do still need to take it off road!

One more.

More to come later...

I'm not sure if a pumped 1.3 could hang with a 1.6 or not.  I was planning on jazzing up the 1.6 when i find one.  Over bore, port polish, cam and some other goodies.  I want fuel injection, enough of this silly carburetor stuff  ;D.

Ya the rig does sit high in the front, its because of how i stretched the frame in the front.  I kept the frame horns sloping down so it raised up the front end, not a whole lot.  With the weight of a winch and some more metal added the front end it should come down, and i could always do some fine tuning with different shackle lengths.

On my SJ I pulled the long spring from another spring pack and just added it to the front end to help with the extra weight.  It didn't affect the handling as much as the shorter stiffer springs, and it gave the springs the extra strength needed to deal with the weight and not go inverted.  You can get a used one from Hawk if you don't have a spare spring pack laying around.
