Would i have to paint my rig gold?
or would that just be going too far?

Alright fellas,

Heres a little update on what i have done so far, and pretty much what is also bugging me.

Heres the first thing, rock4x high clearance transmission cross member.  It all went together pretty nice, it fits in, and it is defiantly high clearance.

The only bad thing about it is the mounting system. I understand that this kit is supposed to be bolt on, but dang!  The mounting clamps happen to sit right on the most abused part of the frame, so im going to have to do some reworking of that, just to get them out of the way.

Now on to the Spider trax transfer case E-brake...
It looks good, and works really well.  The only problem is when you adjust it so i grabs in its recommended 8 or so clicks, the caliper wont free float.  So at 45 mph that little disc is wingin at like 200mph it starts getting pretty warm!!

Thats all for now, i now have to work out all my kinks for now.

ya, i figured that if the 6.5 T-case gears are right for a 33 inch tire with the stock 3.73 sami R&p.  I would be alright going a little bit bigger since i have yotas with 4.10.  I'm pretty sure I'm still going to be over geared but, ill take that any day over being bogged down all the time.

Oh yeah! I just got back from an Iron Maiden concert and came home to 4 excellent looking 34x10.5s!

Just took them down to the tire shop, got them all mounted and balanced.

Heres a few snap shots of em.

quite a bit bigger than the old 205's

My bros truck with with 33x13.5's and my 34s.

I am going to start putting my rear axle in today, but still need to weld the spring perches on.
I'm not 100% sure of what i should set my pinion angle to.

Any ideas?

thanks!

Got some more work done today.

Got the sky YJ kit on the rear, leafs hung, axle in, tires on.
Still need to set the pinion angle, weld the perches, and get the breaks delt with.
But i should be able to get that all done tomorrow, and if its nice ill try and get it all painted up.

Rear YJ hung, used a 5 leaf

There she is sitting up on the ol 34's, just waiting for the front end!

Just thought i would throw this on in here.

more to come tomorrow!

After installing the rear suspension i discovered that i needed to have a driveshaft made, because my stock one nor my Toyota shaft going to fit.  I decided to put the front suspension on and slap my yota axle in.  So i got it all together and it looks awesome!!!
Sorry for not having the build picks, i just didn't have my camera around.

Hows shes sitting as of today.

The front axle and sky missing link set up, it came out pretty good and went together really well.

I still have to address the drive lines, shocks/shock hoops, and steering box.
So all that good stuff is soon to happen.

Thanks

That fork lift comes in pretty darn handy...

The fenders are holding me up pretty bad, the tire was just mashing the out side of the fender.
So it looks like a lot of the fender is comeing out.

I got a better nickname for it, call it the HULK!
That beast is beautiful. I love the pictures of the big wheels on the back and the stock ones on the front to give a good idea how much better it is than stock.

Kind of off topic from my build, but we did spring over my buddies rig today.
Did it in about 5 hours, made everything.

Heres how she came out...

A lil flex

Red zuk green zuk

A little bit more of the same...

His zuk is an 88 sami, 29" super swamper's, 1.5" wheel spacers, 1" shackle lift, DIY spring over, and a hoss ass pirate flag!

Ill be working on my sami tomorrow, getting the shock hoops on and all that good stuff.
