Make sure the connector to the computer is making full contact. Most of the bugs I have had the last two years have been pins on one of the 3 connectors not making full contact. bend the connector a little with a small screwdriver and it fixed the issues.  (mystery codes etc)

She has a problem with the X90 blowing the EFI fuse. She just had a 3" body lift installed along with a Calmini long travel front & rear. The veh. was also fitted with a Calmini header & complete custom built exh.  I told her to check the 02 sensor wires. as they could have gotten burt & thats a common cause for popping EFI fuse's. She said the 02 wires looked fine & that the X90 worked fine until she went off road through a long rough section. Thats when she found the EFI fuse blown. Her mechanic in the desert town of Ocotillo has installed several more fuses (even a 30 amp) & all have popped. Any help or ideas would be great.

I would check the wiring for the efi in its entirety. It sounds like a short somewhere, probably a wire grounding out.

Sounds like a wire between the engine/trans and the body might have come adrift. If it was stretched by the bodylift then the movement of the engine/trans on its mounts could have pulled it apart.

sry bout being brief ...

But my X2 was it sounds like the BL probably stretched something ...

Investigate underneath to see if any of the harness is "tight". I dunno how the wiring attaches on an X90, but the BL's I've done usually required unhooking some of the harness from clips/ties at the body in order for the BL to not stretch wiring. Usually it's been near the battery under the hood.

My guess, someplace the harness got stretched during the lift, and then after somewheelin' ... a wire broke and is shorted. Find where it was stretched, unwrap the harness from there, and examine EVERY wire for integrity.

I doubt the underhood harness on an X90 is much different than a sidekick of the same year, so, a FSM will be your best bet (and a worthy investment anyway) ... www.books4cars.com will cost ya some coin, but usually has manuals for just about everything.

BTW, that is one badazz lookin X90!!!!! Hope you can find the issue ....

You could start by pulling the two relays out next to the ecm, one is a main relay that all of the power to the ecm and the fuel pump goes through and see if it blows but use a smaller fuse to test with, if it does not blow put the main relay back in and see what happens, if it does not blow put the fuel pump relay in and see if it does.  they could of cut into the fuel pump wires on a sharp body pannel or frame piece.

Are not all Kawasaki PWC's Jet Ski's ?  Many years ago X2= half stand-up  half sit-down. That is until the Yamaha "Wave Blaster" dominated the market & races. AKA "Wave Runner"
